The Bugaboo Lodge

So, Ciona Thompson has recieved a once in a life time chance to go to the Bugaboo Lodge up in the Purcell Mountains

"This season I have been the first David Thompson Secondary student to be invited to intern and to take part in a ski guild practicum with the CMH Bugaboo Lodge; besides skiing powder and being surrounded by breath taking views, I will be learning about the tourism industry, avalanche safety, working with people and most of all, improving my skiing. The Bugaboo Lodge is located in the pristine Purcell Mountains and provides a variety of skiing terrain with astounding views of the world -renowned mountains (where a number of ski movies have been made). CMH or Canadian Mountain Holidays is a nationwide company which offers a once in a life time experience and brings people to the heart of the mountains. I am very excited to be working with such an amazing company, and I feel blessed that I have been presented with such an opportunity to experience something I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to do. This opportunity came to me from a scholarship I received and took part in over this past summer."
